The Series 626 Industrial Pressure Transmitters possess a highly precise 0.25% full scale accuracy piezo-resistive sensor contained in a compact, rugged, NEMA 4X (IP66) stainless steel general purpose housing or cast aluminum conduit housing. The Series 628 Industrial Pressure Transmitters are ideal for OEMs with 1% full scale accuracy sensors. The corrosion resistant 316L stainless steel wetted parts allow the Series 626 and 628 transmitters to measure the pressure in a multitude of processes from hydraulic oils to chemicals. The Series 626 and 628 are available in absolute and gage pressure ranges with a variety of optional outputs, process connections and electrical terminations to allow you to select the right transmitter for your application.

Note: The standard conduit housing (-CH) has been phased out, see the conduit box housing (-CB) for the replacement model.

Question

What does UFL displayed on the Dwyer Series 626/628 mean? The input Voltage is correct and it appears to be piped correctly, but my display says UFL and my output to my controller's input is -0.285vdc.

UFL indicates underflow.

Question

I have a 626 pressure transmitter I want to use in 4-20 mA output mode. Trying to figure out what resistance I need. Two questions: 1) What are the units for the result of Rl-max = (Vps - 10)/20 mA DC? For a 12v PS I get 0.1. Is that ohms, Kohms or what? and 2) Does it matter which let of the receiver (+ or -) input the resistance is placed?

Answer

If you use the equation RL-max=(Vps-10)/20mA DC without converting the 20mA to Amps then the results units will be in Kohms. The .1 that you calculated is in Kohms, so you will be to convert that to 100 ohms.

What is the maximum media temperature for the Series 626 transmitters. I'm considering one for a steam application at about 360F

Answer

The maximum media temperature for the Series 626 transmitter is 200°F. Unfortunately, this unit is not made to be used in applications with that high of temperatures.

All wetted materials in the Series 626/628 is 316L Stainless Steel. You can use the Series 626/628 in any application that is compatible with 316L Stainless Steel.
